Before Alaska, there was Oklahoma, Texas and Louisiana — and all three still show up on every plate we send out. Harley's has been family-run on Old Seward Highway since 1997, feeding Anchorage locals, night-shift crews and first-time visitors the same way: big portions, fair prices, no shortcuts.
"Old thyme" is the old way of doing it. Country sausage gravy made from scratch every morning. Chicken fried steak cut straight from the roast and hand-tenderized when you order it, never frozen. Smoky sweet beef brisket, pan-fried catfish and fried okra, right here at 61 degrees north.
